The UK's biggest tour operator TUI has announced a brand-new location for holidaymakers wanting to head off the beaten track this summer. TUI Lakes and Mountains is adding breaks to North Macedonia to its summer 2022 programme, for visitors looking to explore one of Europe’s lesser-known locations.
The destination is home to tranquil lakes, wildlife-filled national parks and age-old towns packed with history. Holidays are on sale now for travel between June 15 and September 17, 2022, from under £550 per person.
Tucked between the Balkans and the Mediterranean, mountains cover 80 per cent of the land in North Macedonia, with beautiful lakes nestled between the peaks, including Lake Ohrid, Europe’s oldest lake.
