Tugboat that capsized in Clyde tragedy recovered in salvage mission

A tugboat which capsized in the Firth of Clyde, claiming the lives of two men, has been recovered.

George Taft, 65, and Ian Catterson, 73, died when the vessel capsized while assisting a cruise ship off Custom House Quay, Greenock, Inverclyde, on February 24.

A search and rescue operation was launched with Police Scotland and HM Coastguard spending over four hours searching for the men before standing down as night fell. The bodies of both were recovered by police divers the following afternoon.
