Carstairs asking retired staff to come back to work amid staffing crisis
Retired staff from the high security state hospital Carstairs are being asked to come back to work and help solve their current staffing crisis. The hospital, which houses some of Scotland's most dangerous psychiatric patients, is experiencing a severe shortage as they are failing to attract new staff to work at the facility.
Whistleblowers have claimed the recruitment crisis is putting staff and patients at risk and claim an incident similar to the 1976 massacre is "on the cards".
A source said: "People who are retiring are being urged to tick the box on their forms to consider coming back. Some are retiring one week and back the next working part-time."
Vile football fans mock Rangers legends Andy Goram and Walter Smith's deaths in sickening pub chant
Vile football fans were filmed singing a sickening chant mocking the deaths of Rangers legends Walter Smith and Andy Goram in a Scots pub. The disgraceful footage was taken in the Foundry Pub in Perth ahead of the clash between Hibs and St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Saturday afternoon.
Fans can be seen singing the sickening chant about Walter Smith, Andy Goram, Davie Cooper and kitman Jimmy Bell as they dance and cheer with their arms in the air.
They chant: "Super trooper no more Davie Cooper, Walter Smith's in hell, so is Jimmy Bell. Andy Goram's there as well."
Distressed dog rescued from boiling hot motor at Scots shopping centre as cops smash car window
Police officers smashed the window of a car parked in a Livingston car park in a bid to to rescue a young, distressed dog from a boiling vehicle. Cops were called to Centre Livingston after concerned shoppers attempted to rescue a dog, who was trapped in a hot car without air or water.
A parking ticket placed on the car window, made passers-by believe the dog had been in the hot vehicle for 90 minutes before anyone noticed.
Cancer patient who was 'nil by mouth' chokes to death at Scots hospital after being fed by staff
A cancer patient who was 'nil by mouth' allegedly choked to death after being fed food by a member of staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
An NHS whistleblower told the Daily Record that 'under-strain' medical professionals fought in vain to save the man's life, but sadly he was pronounced dead following the tragic incident on July 22.
He was believed to have been receiving palliative care in the Acute Medical ward.
Scots mum distressed after cops claim they have drunk son in van 15 months after he died
Police knocked on the door of a grieving Scots mum and claimed to have her drunk son in the back of their van - 15 months after her own son died. Tracey Hadlow lost her 20-year-old son Nathan after an accidental overdose in April 2021. He had taken street Valium, cocaine and methadone - a polydrug cocktail.
The 53-year-old from Deans, Livingston, said she was left distressed on July 3 this year, after answering the door to two police officers who brought an 'intoxicated' stranger to her house, claiming he was her dead child. She told the Daily Record she felt like she was reliving the moment officers chapped her door on the night Nathan died.
