Rampaging yobs smash cars with concrete slabs in quiet Scots street
A number of residents in a quiet Scots cul-de-sac have been left counting the "unnecessary costly act of vandalism" after a number of vehicles were smashed up by rampaging yobs.
Pictures show the damage caused in Haddington, East Lothian, on Sunday night with car windows smashed and bodywork damaged on at least four vehicles. Slabs have also been left lying all over the street, with one wedged on a car window.
Diana McLuckie said residents were left terrified when they heard glass smashing as the thugs caused carnage in their street at around 11pm on Sunday as at least five youths were spotted around Hopepark Crescent and Hopetoun Drive.
Scots hotel slams guest who left scathing review about £370-a-night room
A hotel in Edinburgh has hit back at a disgruntled guest who left a scathing review after the luxury stay failed to live up to their expectations. The English customer shared their opinion on popular website TripAdvisor where they slammed the hotel for lack of quality and uncaring employees.
The reviewer added that the hotel was "not worth the price tag" and that it was an overall "awful experience". The reviewer, Julia from Leicester, was particularly aggrieved at the bed which she found to be "too hard", while the views of the city centre also, apparently, failed to impress.
Family 'bed bound' after being served 'undercooked' food at five-star resort
A family say they have been left bed-bound after all falling violently ill on their summer holiday. The Richards family had jetted off to the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort and Spa in Cancun, Mexico, when they all started suffering from sickness and diarrhoea back in July.
All six holidaymakers claim to still be suffering from their symptoms, weeks after flying back home to the UK. Katie, 33, and Ashley Richards, 34, had booked the five star hotel for them and their six-year-old daughter Ruby to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. Other family members also joined them half way through the two-week trip.
