Commuters suffered more travel misery on Friday morning as Tube services were hit by the previous day’s 24-hour strike.
Services on the London Underground were suspended for a large part of the morning with a number of stations closed for early morning commuters.
All 11 Tube services were up and running by 9am - but severe delays were reported on several including the Central, Circle, Jubilee, Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines.
By 11.30, normal service was largely restored with only the Bakerloo and Central lines suffering serious issues. But scores of commuters had already take to Twitter to vent their frustration over closed stations.
It comes after about 10,000 members of the RMT union walked out on Thursday in an ongoing dispute over pensions and the loss of up to 600 station staff posts.
This forced the closure of eight Tube lines - the Bakerloo, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Piccadilly, Victoria and Waterloo & City - and left only “shuttle” services running on the outer branches of the Central, District and Northern lines.
