Meghan Markle caused a storm when she appeared to unveil what has been dubbed a 'Montecito makeover' in her first public sighting since it was revealed she would not be attending the Coronation.
The California-dwelling duchess looked stunning as as showed off her flawlessly polished new look while supporting friend Misan Harriman’s TED Talk on Sunday, April 23.
The move away from her signature messy bun and parred down glam, has had many questioning the former Suits actress' motives, with a top make-up artist hailing it as an embracing of her new found freedom since ditching royal life.
She then cemented the apparent "makeover" when she stepped out with husband Harry at a basketball game in LA, looking chic in shorts and a blazer.
As social media users pick Meghan's "new look" apart, with them inspecting every inch of the new photos, a wild theory has even done the rounds that the former Suits actress has undergone cosmetic work.
This bizarre rumour has been fuelled by doctored pictures from Meghan's video appearance flooding social media.
The search term "Meghan Markle facelift" has seen a 160%. increase on Google over the last 24 hours.
A top make-up artist has blasted the false accusations, revealing Meghan's new look is down to clever lighting and some even more expert make-up application.
Speaking exclusively to Mirror Online, Zoe Trigwell, an Award-Winning makeup artist and owner of Trigwell Cosmetics, has said that Meghan has "upped her glam" while stepping away from her Royal duties.
"Meghan has definitely upped her glam feeling as she has stepped outside of Royal Duties," Zoe explained to us.
"It feels overall that she has started to really move into her own look with dewy skin and a more natural/copper eye base. Alongside this, she has paired her new look with a down-do hairstyle over her usual low bun."
She added: "The look definitely gives off more of a summer season vibe however, Meghan has more freedom outside of Royal Dressing to shape her own identity and make-up.
"As a MUA, I always love people putting their own spin on their looks and I am into Meghan’s bright and dewy base finished with a sleek summer eye and glossy lip! Bring on the sun!!"
And speaking to Grazia last year, Meghan's makeup artist, Daniel Martin, spoke of how the Duchess has always been a fan of minimal makeup - which backs up the claims that Meghan has simply "upped her glam".
Doing her makeup for her wedding day, Daniel spoke about how he loved making sure her freckles were visible, before swooning over her "incredible skin".
Gushing over her freckles in the chat with Grazia and talking about how much he "loves" them, he then added: "She has incredible skin so it was easy."
