Trump's tariffs just went from 12.5% to 10%: Why did India get a breather and what it means?

Donald Trump's administration has lowered the tariff on a majority of Indian exports to 10% from the earlier proposed 12.5% under its Section 301 forced-labour investigation, handing New Delhi a relative trade advantage over several competing manufacturing economies even as exporters continue to face higher costs in the US market.
