Donald Trump's choice of Katie Zacharia as White House press secretary has brought renewed scrutiny of her past public statements, including a claim linking the abortion medication mifepristone to a company associated with Zyklon B, the poison used by the Nazis in the Holocaust.
In a November 2025 post on X, Zacharia wrote that mifepristone was 'connected to the manufacturer of the deadly gas Zyklon B, used in the World War II concentration camps.' She cited the historical relationship between German chemical company I.G. Farben and Degesch, which produced the pesticide used in Nazi killing operations.
