Donald Trump called Cornell University 'a fine school' on Thursday when asked whether it had done enough to investigate an alleged gang rape at one of its fraternity houses.

The US president has criticised elite universities since his 2024 campaign, and his administration froze more than $1B (£740M) of Cornell's federal funding in April 2025.
