Former President Donald Trump's campaign launched a new ad featuring the famous "mean tweets" sketch, focusing on his journey from being ruled out as someone with chances of becoming president to touting the work done by his administration.
The clip begins with former President Barack Obama reading a message that was posted Trump himself. "President Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United States!" read the publication in the social media platform, then called Twitter. "Well, Donald Trump, at least I will go down as a President," replied Obama back then to a laughing audience.
The video goes on to recap key moments of the 90s and him not ruling out running for president before remembering several figures saying he would never win the elections. It moves to his 2016 upset against Hillary Clinton and a succession of images and messages celebrating his administration, including a "low inflation, low unemployment, increasing the income of the middle class, reducing illegal immigration," among others.
The ad then takes a somber tone as it tackles the Joe Biden presidency, showing him tripping while climbing the stairs of Air Force one, high gas prices, the evacuation of Afghanistan and the current president seemingly falling asleep during public events. "Do you miss me yet?" Trump can be heard saying at the end of the ad.
