The US military successfully intercepted multiple ballistic missiles launched by Iran's Revolutionary Guard in an attempted surprise attack on US forces, with US Central Command confirming all missiles were intercepted.
Saudi Arabia collaborated with the US in joint strikes against Iran-backed groups in Iraq, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 soldiers, as the conflict escalated across the Middle East.
Iraq's Harakat Hezbollah al Nujaba, an Iran-backed militia, warned of severe consequences for US and Saudi Arabian interests and security following the joint strikes in Iraq.
Amid the escalating tensions, Oman proposed a new regional deal aimed at resolving the conflict surrounding the critical Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for global oil and liquefied natural gas shipments.
