Trump suggests renaming Atlantic Ocean the 'American Ocean'

US President Donald Trump has once again suggested changing the name of a major body of water, this time floating the idea of renaming the Atlantic Ocean the “American Ocean”.

Speaking at a rally ahead of the US midterm elections, Trump joked that he had considered renaming either the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean.
