"Judgement Day Has Finally Come"
President Donald Trump formally authorized death by U.S. Army firing squad for Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the former Army psychiatrist convicted of killing 13 soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009 — setting in motion what would be the first military execution in more than six decades. Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell confirmed the order Monday in a post on X, writing: "Judgement day for Hasan has finally come."
