- US President Donald Trump has issued a chilling threat to Iran ahead of his Tuesday deadline to make a deal to end the war.
- Speaking at a news conference Monday, Trump said, “The entire country can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night.”
- Trump has promised to “decimate” Iran’s civilian infrastructure, including all their power plants and bridges, if Tehran does not agree to a deal by 8 pm ET Tuesday.
- Responding to a US proposal through mediator Pakistan earlier Monday, Tehran rejected a ceasefire and said it wants a permanent end to the war.
- "They made a proposal, and it's a significant proposal,” Trump told reporters at an annual White House Easter event before his press conference. “It's a significant step. It's not good enough.”
