President Donald Trump is expected to address Congress for the first State of the Union address of his second term on Feb. 24.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said Wednesday he had formally invited the president to the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue to address Congress next month, after previously teasing the date to reporters earlier.
“We look forward to advancing the important work ahead of us in 2026, serving the American people, defending liberty, and preserving this grand experiment in self-governance,” Johnson said in a statement.
