Trump's Legal Team Faces Accusations Of Gag Order Violations

Republican presidential candidate Trump campaigns in New Hampshire

Former President Trump's legal team is currently facing accusations of him violating a gag order on four additional occasions on Thursday. This comes after Judge Juan Merchan fined Trump $9,000 for nine separate violations earlier in the week, with prosecutors from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's office now claiming that Trump committed four more violations through comments made outside the courtroom.

The prosecution has highlighted four instances where Trump allegedly made remarks regarding the jury involved in the trial, his former lawyer Michael Cohen, and another witness named David Pecker, who provided testimony last week. Judge Merchan had imposed a gag order on Trump on April 1, specifically prohibiting him from publicly discussing witnesses, the jury, and their family members.

Despite the gag order, Trump criticized its constitutionality in a social media post prior to Thursday's trial. He also launched personal attacks against Judge Merchan, labeling him as a 'conflicted' and 'radical left' judge.
