Before their meeting, Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, the incoming judiciary committee chairman, expressed his anticipation of collaborating with Bondi and guiding her nomination through the United States Senate. He acknowledged Bondi's extensive experience, having served as the attorney general of Florida for eight years, stating that it undoubtedly prepares her well for the role.
