Donald Trump’s presidential campaign recently made a substantial ad buy, marking its largest of the election season. This move comes as Trump faces increasing pressure from a reinvigorated Democratic ticket and gears up for what promises to be a fiercely contested fall campaign period.
The data reveals that Trump’s campaign has secured $37.1 million in new ad reservations, effectively more than doubling its existing future bookings. Notably, the campaign's most significant investment was in Georgia, where $23.8 million of the new reservations were allocated. These ad placements are scheduled to commence this week and run through Election Day.
Aside from the substantial bookings in Georgia, the Trump campaign also secured ad time in various other key states:
- $4.4 million in North Carolina
- $3.1 million in Michigan
- $2 million in Wisconsin
- $1.4 million in Arizona
- $1.4 million in Nevada
- $867,000 in Pennsylvania
Prior to this latest move, Trump’s campaign had already reserved over $30 million in future ad time in Pennsylvania. With the new acquisitions, the total future ad reservations now amount to approximately $68.3 million, with Pennsylvania ($32 million) and Georgia ($23.8 million) leading the pack.
This significant increase in paid messaging represents a notable escalation for the Trump campaign. During the GOP presidential primary, the campaign had spent around $17 million on ads from the time Trump entered the race up to Super Tuesday, when he effectively secured the nomination.
