Trump Reportedly Considered Calling Biden Derogatory Term

Trump shares poll showing voters associate potential second term with "revenge\

Former President Donald Trump reportedly expressed his desire to start calling President Joe Biden 'Retarded Joe Biden' after their June debate, as per a recent report by The Atlantic. According to sources cited by The Atlantic, Trump made these remarks to his aides while en route to a campaign rally, referring to Biden as 'retarded' and stating his intention to use that term moving forward.

In response to the report, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, Steven Cheung, denied the claims, stating that such discussions never took place and labeling the report as 'materially false.'

This is not the first instance of Trump using derogatory language towards political opponents. The report also mentioned a previous incident where Trump allegedly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as 'retarded' while soliciting donations from prominent GOP donors.

Trump has a history of using derogatory language towards political opponents.

Throughout his political career, Trump has been known for employing offensive and disparaging language to attack his rivals. In the case of Biden, Trump has frequently resorted to name-calling, including referring to Harris as 'mentally impaired' during his campaign rallies.

Despite some of his GOP allies advising him to focus on policy issues and refrain from personal attacks, Trump has continued to use inflammatory language against his opponents, a strategy that has been a hallmark of his political style.
