Trump pays his respects to six US service members killed in plane crash

  • President Donald Trump attended a dignified transfer ceremony for six U.S. service members killed in a plane crash, marking his second such attendance since the war with Iran began.
  • The six crew members died last week when their KC-135 Air Force refueling aircraft crashed over western Iraq while supporting operations against Iran.

  • U.S. Central Command stated the crash occurred in “friendly airspace” and was not due to hostile or friendly fire, with circumstances currently under investigation.
  • The deceased service members, identified as Maj. John A. Klinner, Capt. Ariana Linse Savino, Tech. Sgt. Ashley Pruitt, Capt. Seth Koval, Capt. Curtis Angst, and Master Sgt. Tyler Simmons, were honored by their families and colleagues.
