Weisselberg explained that he was not in a financial position to provide the funds due to expenses related to his four grandchildren's prep school and camp bills.
Subsequently, Cohen and Weisselberg informed Trump of the situation, and Cohen offered to front the money. Trump reportedly expressed his gratitude, assuring Cohen that he would be reimbursed. Cohen testified that Trump reassured him by saying, 'don’t worry, you’ll get the money back.'
