
President Donald Trump's buyout offer to over two million federal workers is moving full steam ahead with the Health and Human Services Department the latest target.
Most of the roughly 80,000 HHS employees were offered an up to $25,000 bonus if they agree to resign by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025. Workers under the auspice of HHS are responsible for inspecting food, investigating diseases and making sure Medicare and Medicaid are administered to beneficiaries.
