It took 46 minutes for President Donald Trump to mention the name of the man he’d come to stump for in Michigan on Monday as he delivered a bizarre, seemingly endless rant in which he at one point told the crowd of largely autoworkers that he’d done more for them than the people who raised them.
The president was in the Wolverine State to campaign for former Rep. Mike Rogers, who is running unopposed for the Republican nomination in this year’s open Senate race. Rogers, a former FBI agent, is expected to be in a close race against the winner of the hotly contested Democratic primary between Rep. Haley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed.
