A recent poll conducted among 2,436 likely voters nationwide has shed light on the varying favorability ratings of former President Trump, pop superstar Taylor Swift, and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The poll results indicate that Trump holds a 47% favorability rating among likely voters, with 51% viewing him unfavorably. In comparison, Swift garnered a 44% favorability rating, with 34% expressing unfavorable views towards her. Vice President Harris received a 48% favorability rating, while 49% viewed her unfavorably.
The survey, conducted with a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points, took place from September 11 to 16. Interestingly, the polling period commenced just a day after Swift publicly endorsed the Harris-Walz campaign.
Swift's endorsement of Harris and Walz for the 2024 Presidential Election was shared on her Instagram account on September 10. In her post, Swift praised Harris for her advocacy of various rights and causes, emphasizing the importance of steady leadership over chaos.
Notably, the poll results suggest a partisan divide in opinions regarding Swift's endorsement. While 70% of Democrats hold a favorable view of Swift, only 41% of independents and a mere 23% of Republicans share the sentiment. Conversely, 60% of Republicans expressed an unfavorable view of Swift, contrasting with just 11% of Democrats who felt similarly.
The data underscores the impact of celebrity endorsements on political perceptions and highlights the polarization of public opinion in the current political landscape.
