Trump Leads Harris By 11 Points Among Latino Voters

Trump shares poll showing voters associate potential second term with "revenge\

Former President Trump recently held a roundtable with Latino leaders in Miami, where he was joined by prominent figures such as Florida GOP Reps. Maria Salazar and Carlos Gimenez, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, Florida Sen. Rick Scott, and Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo. The event took place at Trump National Doral Miami and saw Trump criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris for not actively campaigning.

During the roundtable, Trump remarked on Harris' absence from campaign events, stating, 'She’s sleeping right now, she couldn’t go on the trail. You know, you’d think when you had 14 days left, you wouldn’t be sleeping.' Trump further labeled Harris as 'lazy' and 'a radical left lunatic.'

The Trump campaign emphasized the former president as the candidate capable of restoring prosperity to America, predicting a strong turnout from the Latino community in support of Trump's bid for the presidency.

A recent poll indicated Trump leading Harris by 11 percentage points among Latino voters, with 49% support for Trump compared to Harris' 38%. In contrast, Black voters favored Harris by a significant margin of 72% to 17%, although this lead is narrower than historical trends for Democrats.

Trump's appeal to Latino and Black voters in the current election cycle has been notable, particularly through his focus on economic and crime-related issues. In contrast, Harris unveiled a plan aimed at delivering tangible benefits to Latino men and their families, including job opportunities, support for small businesses, homebuyer assistance, and healthcare coverage.

These developments underscore the evolving dynamics of voter preferences and campaign strategies as the 2024 election approaches, with both candidates actively engaging key demographic groups to secure electoral support.
