Trump launches new military strikes against Iran along Strait of Hormuz

Donald Trump launched a fresh wave of U.S. military strikes in Iran on Tuesday, targeting areas along the Strait of Hormuz .
U.S. Central Command confirmed the action was retaliation for recent attempted attacks by Iran's IRGC against commercial shipping and American service members.
The conflict escalated after the US fired rocket launchers on Larak Island on Sunday, prompting Iran to launch ballistic missiles at American bases in Jordan.
President Trump indicated that additional military strikes against Iran might be necessary depending on future developments.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that the administration expects to impose new economic sanctions on Iran within the next two weeks.
