Over the past week, it feels like the United States has been in a pressure cooker. Things were already bad before, but the murder of Renee Good has crystallized widespread disgust of ICE as Americans – including many Trump voters – conclude that being shot to death by unaccountable masked thugs probably isn’t what the Founding Fathers had in mind.
Though the Trump administration is currently playing it cool, they must be privately concerned about this growing and widespread resentment of ICE, whose agents are now heckled, mocked, and insulted wherever they go.
