President Donald Trump’s midterm convention in Texas earlier this month was intended to rally his Republican base ahead of the fast-approaching midterm elections but, in fact, appears to have given Democrats a major boost.

The first-of-its-kind event in Dallas sought to reinvigorate Republican voters ahead of the November 3 midterms that will decide control of the House and Senate.
