On Sunday, President Donald Trump shared a map of New Mexico on Truth Social. In the image, “Mexico” was crossed out and “America” was written in its place, unofficially presenting the state as New America.
A few hours later, New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham addressed the post on Facebook. She said the name “isn’t up for debate.”
