Trump files notice of appeal in E. Jean Carroll sexual assault case

Former US President Donald Trump has filed a notice of appeal after a New York jury found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming writer E. Jean Carroll.

Ms Carroll, 79, was awarded five million US dollars (£3.9 million) in damages after the federal jury trial in Manhattan which ended on Tuesday.
