On Tuesday, late-night television host Jimmy Kimmel was targeted by former President Donald Trump in a social media attack following a monologue mocking Trump. Trump criticized Kimmel's performance as host of the Academy Awards in March, falsely claiming that Kimmel had stumbled through announcing the Best Picture award.
Trump accused Kimmel of a 'CLASSIC CHOKE' and failing to say the traditional Oscars announcement phrase 'AND THE WINNER IS.' However, it was actually actor Al Pacino who presented the award for 'Oppenheimer' and omitted the phrase 'and the Oscar goes to.'
The Biden campaign seized the opportunity to mock Trump for this error, highlighting the ongoing verbal sparring between the two presidential campaigns. Despite the false accusations, a Trump campaign spokesperson did not provide a comment on the matter.
