Trump Criticizes Press, Calls For Straightening Out Media Outlets

Former President Donald Trump criticized the press during an interview at the Chicago Economic Club, stating that the media needs to be 'straightened out' due to what he perceives as corruption. Trump has a history of attacking news organizations and reporters who cover him, and he has recently intensified his rhetoric against the news media.

Trump specifically targeted CBS, calling for the network to lose its license following a '60 Minutes' interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. He also accused ABC of rigging a debate between himself and Harris, without providing evidence to support his claims.

In addition to his criticism of the press, Trump also took aim at Google, alleging that the tech giant only displays 'bad stories' about him and 'good stories' about Harris. He threatened to prosecute Google at the 'maximum levels' if he were to win reelection, again without offering any evidence of wrongdoing.

Trump's relationship with mainstream outlets has been strained, as he recently canceled interviews with CNBC and CBS News' '60 Minutes.' Instead, he has been appearing on conservative platforms such as 'The Ramsey Show' and Real America's Voice. Trump is scheduled to participate in town halls with Fox News and Univision in the coming days.
