In a recent development, a major anti-abortion group expressed support for a potential national ban on abortions after 16 weeks of pregnancy, following a New York Times report that former President Donald Trump has privately voiced favor for such restrictions. The group, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, which advocates for a ban on abortions at 15 weeks, commended Trump for seeking consensus on the issue.

Despite his campaign dismissing the report as 'Fake News,' Trump's stance on abortion has been a subject of speculation and scrutiny. While he has claimed to be the 'most pro-life president in American history,' he has refrained from publicly endorsing specific abortion limits during his current campaign for the 2024 Republican nomination.
