Former President Trump and his 2024 running mate JD Vance recently sat down for their first joint interview following the assassination attempt on the GOP nominee's life at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. During the interview, Trump shared details about his meeting with Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle in the aftermath of the incident.
Trump mentioned that his meeting with Cheatle went smoothly and that she was very nice. However, he expressed concern that proper security measures were not in place to prevent the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, from firing shots at him from a rooftop approximately 130 yards away.
