President-elect Trump and members of his inner circle recently enjoyed a McDonald’s meal aboard Trump’s private plane, as shared by Donald Trump Jr. in a photo posted on Sunday. The light-hearted caption joked about delaying the Trump campaign’s mission to make Americans healthier for a day.
Accompanying Trump were notable figures such as Elon Musk, House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s pick for Health and Human Services secretary. Kennedy, known for his criticism of processed foods, was pictured with McDonald’s food and a Coca-Cola.
The group had flown to New York City on Saturday to attend UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden, where Trump had previously held a campaign rally.
Notably, Kennedy has been vocal about his concerns regarding the president-elect’s diet, describing the food served on Trump’s private plane as 'poison.' He highlighted the limited options available, often being KFC or Big Macs, which he deemed inedible.
Earlier this month, Kennedy expressed intentions to overhaul certain departments within the Food and Drug Administration for what he perceived as negligence in their duties.
Having endorsed Trump after suspending his own presidential campaign, Kennedy has actively supported the 'Make America Healthy Again' movement, incorporating it into his advocacy efforts. He has initiated a platform called 'Policies for the People,' inviting ordinary Americans to suggest policies and individuals they believe should be implemented under the HHS secretary.
