The Trump administration is directing £1.56 billion ($2 billion) in global health and disaster relief to a coalition of Christian humanitarian organisations, in what the State Department says is the largest shift of such aid to religious groups in more than two decades.
The funding names charities World Vision, Compassion International and Samaritan's Purse as primary recipients. The money will be divided across direct health grants, government agreements and disaster response initiatives.
