Trump admin official Dr Oz said he bought a stick of butter for a dollar. Even Laura Ingraham isn’t convinced: ‘Where are you shopping?’

Dr Mehmet Oz, the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, faced a moment of intense skepticism on air when he claimed he could purchase a single stick of butter for one dollar. The exchange occurred on Monday during an appearance on The Ingraham Angle, as reported by The Independent, where the official was tasked with discussing the administration’s recent efforts to improve price transparency for hospital patients.

Laura Ingraham framed the conversation around the broader issue of affordability, a topic that has been a significant point of concern for voters. She noted that many people feel President Donald Trump has not done enough to address these costs, which could create real problems for Republicans in the upcoming November midterms. She pressed the official on the lack of clarity in medical billing, stating, “We should know what things cost, OK?” She added, “We wanna know what we’re paying. What the heck is going on, and how can you guys tackle this?”
