Details really do matter. Especially in fashion. From fringe dripping all in the same direction to selectively positioned sequins, the littlest accent can make a drastic difference. That applies to scallops. The constellation of convex curves usually decorating hemlines and necklines makes any piece of clothing infinitely more appealing. Plus, there's something so summery about rocking something that mimics a scallop's shell.
This season there are scallops of all sizes on a range of silhouettes. J.Crew decided to draw attention to both the back and bottom of its sunny shift dress. Moschino decorates the collar, shoulders, lapel, waist and hem of its colorful minidress. Le Lis' higher-waisted shorts boast the curves along the waist and the bottom, while Charo Ruiz's embroidered pair only flaunts the edges at its hem.
