GLOBAL Australian pop star Troye Sivan, UK indie-pop kings Glass Animals and drumming master G Flip will headline Spilt Milk's debut in Newcastle.

The popular one-day music festival - which is usually held in Canberra, Ballarat, Gold Coast and Perth - was cancelled earlier this year.

Split Milk began in 2016 in Canberra and has hosted the likes of Post Malone, Flume, The Wombats, Khalid, Chvrches and Childish Gambino. But like fellow festivals Groovin' The Moo and This That, the economic conditions forced organisers to cancel this year's event.

However, in its place promoters Kicks Entertainment have launched a series of scaled-down Spilt Milk House Party events in Perth, Gold Coast and Newcastle.

Newcastle Entertainment Centre will host the third and final Spilt Milk House Party on Sunday, November 24.

Joining Troye Sivan, Glass Animals and G Flip on the line-up will be English alt-pop producer Artemas, who boasts a monthly Spotify listenership of 32.5 million through hits like I Like The Way You Kiss Me and If U Think I'm Pretty.

Brisbane electro-pop artist Sycco completes the line-up.

Spilt Milk House Party will be the Newcastle debut for both Sivan and Glass Animals.

The 29-year-old Sivan is an accomplished actor, model and musician and an icon in the queer community. His third album Something To Give Each Other featured prominently on various 2023 album of the year lists and contained the pop hits Rush, One Of Your Girls and Got Me Started.

Glass Animals are well known throughout Australia courtesy of their 2020 Triple J Hottest 100-winning single Heat Waves, which has been streamed on Spotify an incredible 3 billion times.

In July Glass Animals released their album I Love You So F--king Much, the follow-up to their international smash Dreamland (2020).

G Flip is well-loved by Novocastrian audiences. In 2020 they became the first artist to sell-out three consecutive nights at the Cambridge Hotel, however, the shows were cancelled due to the pandemic.

Last September G Flip finally returned to Newcastle and played a sold-out outdoor show at the Bar On The Hill.

Since then G Flip, real name Georgia Flipo, has won two ARIA Awards, including Australian Album of the Year for her record Drummer.

Pre-sale tickets for Spilt Milk House Party are available from 10am on September 11. General sale begins at 10am on September 13.
