Trostre Road in Llanelli to be closed for two days as drivers warned of diversions

A busy road in Llanelli is to close for two days causing significant disruption. It will affect Trostre Road from its junction with the B4304 (New Dock mini roundabout) for a distance of 190m in a north-westerly direction.

It is said that the closure is necessary to ensure public safety while resurfacing works are carried out. It will begin from Monday, February 6. The alternative route for north-westbound traffic will be to along the B4304 in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Trostre roundabout.

At the roundabout drivers should take the first exit and continue along the A484 in a northwesterly direction to its junction with Swansea Castle roundabout. At the roundabout take the third exit and continue along the C2507 (Frondeg Terrace) in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Penallt Road. At the junction turn right and continue along Penallt Road and Heol Elli in a south-westerly direction to return to a point north-west of the closure. Vice versa for south-eastbound traffic.

The alternative route for westbound traffic will be along the B4304 in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Trostre roundabout. At the roundabout drivers should take the first exit and continue along the A484 in a north-westerly direction to its junction with Swansea Castle roundabout. At the roundabout take the third exit and continue along the C2507 (Frondeg Terrace) in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Penallt Road.

At the junction turn right and continue along Penallt Road and Heol Elli in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Walter’s Road. At the junction turn right and continue along Walter’s Road in a westerly direction to its junction with King George Avenue roundabout. At the roundabout take the first exit and continue along Queen Mary’s Walk in a southerly direction to its junction with Firth Square roundabout. Then at the next roundabout take the first exit and continue along Firth Road in a south-easterly direction to return to a point west of the closure.
