The Gulf's fifth named storm of 2026 is closing in on the Texas-Louisiana coast this Tuesday. Meteorologists remain split on whether it will touch hurricane strength right at the coastline, but nearly everyone tracking Edouard agrees the bigger danger for families in its path is rising water, not wind.
