Tropical Storm Beryl Brings Flooding Threat To Texas-Louisiana Border

The latest update from the National Hurricane Center indicates that the sustained winds of Tropical Storm Beryl have decreased to 45 mph as of 5 p.m. EST. While the winds are weakening, the storm continues to pose risks of flooding and tornadoes, particularly in the vicinity of the Texas-Louisiana border.

Currently, Beryl's center is located approximately 110 miles north of Houston or 80 miles south-southeast of Tyler, Texas. The storm is expected to track across the Lower Mississippi Valley and into the Ohio Valley in the next 48 hours.
