Glasgow TRNSMT site map revealed for 2022 with new VIP fountain area featured

TRNSMT has revealed this year's site map ahead of the three-day event next month - and it includes a new VIP fountain area.

The Glasgow Green event is just over two weeks away, taking place from July 8 to 10, and organisers are amping up their efforts as they prepare to welcome everyone to the three-day festival.

The TRNSMT 2022 Official App has now launched, offering festival fans the most up-to-date info and stage times as well as an interactive site map.

Fans can once again check out the Boogie Bar, giving music fans the chance to dance the night away. Meanwhile, the Ferris Wheel will be returning with views across the site, as well as the exclusive VIP area where guests will be greeted with a glass of bubbly on arrival and feast on some culinary treats at Big Feed.

Organisers say the VIP area this year is twice as big, with more space to chill out, and grab a bite to eat. Now centred around Glasgow Green’s famous fountain, the space will host bars, food vans, DJs and VIP toilets. VIP tickets are still available here.

Big Feed x TRNSMT will also return for the 2022 season, bringing an eclectic mix of street food to the Green.

Winners of the Best Street Food awards at Glasgow Live, the company will ensure festival-goers have the chance to try out some of the city’s most exciting food and drink traders.

If pizza is your thing, Dough Man’s Land make their debut, putting a street food spin on the classic Italian dish. Typhoon Ten, a new dedicated vegan trader, will be offering dirty burgers, while Big Feed’s own Salt n Chilli Glasgow will return alongside Duck Street Food.

Black Rooster Peri Peri are also making their TRNSMT debut as official partners with the festival. The Glasgow-based business will be on site throughout the weekend serving their signature Peri Peri chicken from a brand new custom-made food truck.

Owners Kevin Bell and Michael Kennedy said: “We speak to our customers all the time and we know that music is a major passion for them. We’ve been keen to get into the festival scene for years but this year – coming out of lockdown and an absolutely unbelievable line-up at cinch presents TRNSMT– just felt like something we couldn’t miss out on.”
