TRNSMT announce new acts for 2023 festival including Joesef, The View and LF System

TRNSMT has announced a fresh wave of 50 new acts who are joining the line-up of the Glasgow festival this summer.

Joining headliners Pulp, Sam Fender, Niall Horan, Kasabian, and The 1975 are the likes of The Wombats, Lucy Spraggan, Nothing But Thieves and many more.

Scots talent is front and centre of the newly announced acts as Glasgow star Joesef, The View, West Lothian dance music duo LF System and Declan Welsh and The Decadent West will also be performing.

Hot off the tails of his debut album, Joesef will take to the main stage on Friday of TRNSMT. He said: “I’m buzzing to be playing TRNSMT again, nothing like playing some tunes in front of my home crowd”.

Declan Welsh and The Decadent West will see the Scots singer-songwriter perform on the main stage following after he played TRNSMT’s King Tut’s stage in 2021. Declan added: “From seeing Pulp main stage at my first T in the Park to playing main stage TRNSMT with Pulp headlining is a hell of a nice journey for us.

"This feels like a big moment for us and everyone who’s supported us so far. No nerves, just excitement!”

The View are also returning to the festival after a five-year hiatus and mega comeback tour

West Lothian dance music duo LF System will be headlining the King Tuts stage on the Saturday night, and will be sure to have everyone dancing following indie legends The Wombats. Alternative rock bands Pale Waves and Crawlers will be kicking things off for the final day of the festival, which will see Royal Blood followed by The 1975 close the curtains on TRNSMT 2023.

TRNSMT has also revealed the hotly anticipated lineup for the iconic King Tut’s Stage. TikTok sensation and BRIT nominee Cat Burns, will headline the stage on Friday. Buzzing at the news, Cat said: “I’m so excited to play TRNSMT this summer – my first Scottish festival.

"The first time I played in Scotland was in King Tut’s last April supporting the amazing Mae Muller so, to now be headlining the Tut’s stage is a dream come true. See you all in July!”

Geoff Ellis, Festival Director of TRNSMT said: “The lineup for TRNSMT 2023 has just got bigger with the addition of 50 more acts playing across the weekend. The new additions are a fantastic mix of some of the hottest artists in the UK right now, packed with BRIT Award nominated and winning acts Mimi Webb, FLO, Cat Burns and LF System as well as festival favourites Nothing But Thieves, The Wombats, and The View.

"We also have viral sensations Cian Ducrot, Nati Dreddd, and Lucy Spraggan plus so much more. TRNSMT has well and truly established itself as Scotland’s premier music festival and we are so looking forward to seeing all the fans back at Glasgow Green this July.”

Main stage performances include the already announced Pulp, Sam Fender, The 1975, George Ezra, Kasabian, Royal Blood, Niall Horan, Aitch, Becky Hill, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, The Kooks, Inhaler, Ashnikko, Maisie Peters, Jamie Webster, and Brooke Combe.
