TRNSMT is back bringing a three day musical festival to Glasgow Green but ticket holders have been warned of potential travel disruptions.
The festival runs from Friday, July 8 to Sunday, June 10 with headliners such as Paolo Nutini, Sam Fender, Lewis Capaldi and The Strokes. However, Network Rail strikes have led to travel chaos across the whole of Scotland while ScotRail is also running a revised and smaller timetable due to a shortage of drivers.
While Bridgeton train station is the closest to Glasgow Green, trains are expected to be unreliable and ticket holders are being urged to plan ahead. The festival closes at 11pm each night and depending on your destination, late trains may be limited.

On TRNSMT's official website it states: "There are last minute cancelations and extremely limited rail services across Scotland at the moment. Please plan ahead and don’t rely on trains to get you to and from TRNSMT, check the ScotRail website for the latest information, and look at alternative travel options. If you have no other way of travelling, please be aware you will need to leave the event early to catch the last available train."
A spokesperson for TRNSMT said: “We’ve been reaching out and sharing messages to encourage fans to plan their travel arrangements ahead of the festival so they can enjoy a much deserved fun weekend of music and entertainment. Anyone coming along should regularly check timetables if they need to use the train network and as always, there are a wide range of transport options in place including multiple bus providers, Glasgow’s subway system, taxis, and car sharing so fans should look at alternative options and plan ahead.”
