Are you the proud owner of a 2025 or 2026 Triumph TF450 off-road motorcycle? This includes all models, specifically the TF450-C, TF450-E, TF450-X, and last but not least, the TF450RC Edition.
If that describes a bike that you own, then according to a new fast track recall from Triumph Motorcycles America and the US Consumer Safety Product Commission, you need to stop riding it right now until you can get an engine rocker arm recall attended to by your local Triumph dealer. There's a risk of serious injury or death due to the engine rocker arm potentially seizing or sticking, which can in turn cause the exhaust valves to either remain open or break in operation. This will, in turn, result in a decrease in engine performance, and accompanying unexpected handling characteristics.
This recall was announced in the US on September 10, 2026. A companion recall was issued in Canada by Transport Canada, the corresponding Canadian federal body that issues product recalls for our neighbors to the North. Approximately 1,560 motorcycles in the US are affected, with an additional 171 affected in Canada.
If you own a 2025 or 2026 Triumph TF450, you can check your VIN against the recalled bikes via Triumph's handy recall lookup tool. Owners with motorcycles included in this recall can contact their local authorized Triumph Motorcycles dealer to schedule a repair service, which will involve an engine inspection and replacement of the cylinder head, at no charge to the owner.
As of September 10, 2026, Triumph America says it has received 12 reports of a seized or sticking exhaust rocker shaft and/or corresponding damage the the exhaust valves. Additionally, a single injury that involved a broken bone has been reported.
