Tris Pharma has agreed to pay Texas $7.5 million to resolve allegations that it overstated how well its ADHD medicine Dyanavel XR works in children. The settlement, announced Oct. 1 by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, ends a lawsuit the state filed in 2023.
The state accused Tris of directing sales representatives to tell doctors, including Texas Medicaid providers, that Dyanavel XR worked significantly faster than competing drugs and offered other unproven benefits for children. The attorney general's office said those claims were made during thousands of sales calls.
