Tributes to young student who died after getting into difficulty swimming in sea in Waterford

A young student died following a drowning incident in Co Waterford on Friday afternoon.

He was with a number of people who got into difficulty in the sea in Ardmore at around 1.30pm.

The 21-year-old was part of a group swimming 150 meters out to sea at Whiting Bay in Ardmore when they got into difficulty.
