Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a "beautiful, sweet and darling" young girl who died after being hit by a van as she got off the bus.
Lexi McDavid was hit by a white Mercedes on Princess Drive, Huyton on Tuesday, June 7. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.30pm and rushed the 12-year-old to Alder Hey Hospital, where she died a short time later.
Tributes have been pouring in for the young girl as bouquets of flowers and candles were left at the scene. One of the hand-written tributes, written on a wooden box filled with white and pink roses, reads: "Love you baby girl. Miss you so much Angel."

Over the weekend loved ones came together for a balloon release in memory of Lexi and thousands of pounds have already been raised to "give her the send off she deserves".
Hillside Neighbourhood Centre, of which Lexi was a member, has shared their heartfelt tributes to the young girl who was "tragically taken away." In a Facebook post they wrote: "Heartfelt Sincere Condolences to Lois, Her Mum, Dad and all the Family.
"You are all in our Hearts. Such a beautiful, sweet, darling child, Lexi was a gorgeous young girl who was tragically taken away. One of our kids, a centre user who we all loved especially all the children.
"We shared many fun times during our kids holiday clubs, day trips and kidz club. We will all miss you dearly Lexi, our little chats and laughter. You asked last week could you stay in the kidz club an not the seniors because you're just turning 12."
The post went on to say: "You will be in our hearts (4Ever Lexi.). Heaven must be so beautiful now you're there sweet angel."
An "amazing celebration" of life will be planned for next month, with the details announced "shortly" as the community continues to pull together to support the family in their loss.
Many people were quick to comment on the post about the "sweetest girl" as they shared their memories and messages of support to Lexi's loved ones. Lexi was described as a "beautiful", "polite" and "innocent" young girl.
The fundraiser, set up by Lexi's cousin Susan Murphy, has surpassed it's original £10,000 target as Susan wrote on Friday: "Thanks so much for your continued support and all your messages and donations on the go fund page we are overwhelmed thanks so much."
