A family friend added: "I’m friends with his son so I don’t really want to say anything, but he was a lovely man and everyone in the street will tell you that he was."
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "At 5.55pm on Tuesday, police were called to Acre Crescent, Middleton, where a man had been found dead. There were no suspicious circumstances and the Coroner’s Office has been informed."
